A big surprise to both audience and the organizing crew was the moment when Mr. Frank, chairman of Asian Couture Federation, after sharing his joy and pride about what Vietnamese crew achieved in the first fashion week, announced Hoang Minh Ha as the next Governor of Asian Couture Federation after Nguyen Cong Tri. This is the big honor for the winner of Project Runway Vietnam first season, which makes it all worthwhile for Hoang Minh Ha’s latest collection introduced at VIFW 2014.

The show was opened by the song “Fashionista”, performed by Thao Trang, dancers and models. The following fashion showcase introduced the best designs of Vietnamese and international designers joining the show earlier, like a fast-forwarding video that helped the audience overview what happened during one week of fashion line-up, where fashion, creativity and cutural integration get sublimated and resonated.

VIFW marks a milestone of Vietnam fashion industry, from which global and international fashion designers have a true rendezvous for career exchange.

The show ended with Thanh Bui’s performance “My Kool Vietnam”, representing Nguyen Cong Tri’s Aodai collection named “The drought and the rains”.
